Castle Hill

Join Kamilaroi artist Kay Lee Williams in a slow stitching family workshop using bush-dyed silks and ancient art making techniques.

In this workshop, Williams will guide guests to view her artwork Marrambaya (Wrapped) in the exhibition Alchemy, and talk about her creative processes. Afterwards, families can enjoy a slow stitching workshop to make a unique artwork or placemat to take home.

Artist

Kay Lee Williams is a Kamilaroi woman based in Alstonville on the Far North Coast of New South Wales. She enjoys all forms of creating, including drawing, sculpture and textiles using natural materials sourced from her Northern Rivers region.
