Audio storytelling and fundamental podcasting skills with All The Best by FBi Radio. Powerhouse Museum Creative Studio, in partnership with TAFE NSW, is giving Western Sydney based students the opportunity to dive into the fundamentals of audio storytelling and podcasting with All The Best, a nationally syndicated radio program and podcast by FBi Radio showcasing Australian storytelling by young radio makers through documentaries, interviews, personal narratives and fiction.

In this 3-day workshop participants will learn how to use the most basic elements of an iPhone and iPad to design, record, narrate and edit short audio tales, drawing inspiration and sounds from the Powerhouse Sounding the Collection archive.

All The Best is FBi Radio’s podcast and community radio program where emerging Australian storytellers learn how to make audio stories. All The Best Radio are winners and finalists in ‘Best Spoken Word’ and ‘Excellence in Creative Audio’ at the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia awards and listed as a top Australian podcast by the The Sydney Morning Herald, Guardian Australia and Tech Radar.

The workshops will be facilitated by the current executive producer of All The Best Radio and British and Australian Podcast Award nominee, Phoebe Adler-Ryan, whose interests are grounded in the theatrical and experiential dimensions of audio storytelling. Joining Phoebe is All The Best Radio Supervising Producer, Gemma Purves. Gemma holds a decade’s worth of experience in community radio, tv and print mediaand also coordinates ‘Audio Ability’, a project that provides training in radio and podcasting for people with disabilities.
