Heaps Gay have been coaxing Sydney out of its shell since 2013 and is celebrating turning 10 with Powerhouse Late, so dress to impress. Splashing together the finest local queer talent.
Join us as friends from the community share their diary entries and the real thoughts and feelings about the younger years for Teenage Dream.
Keeping Sydney’s drag king culture alive, SYDNY KINGS will present a high-octane hour of performance. Pulling the best from the archive, expect curated content from the Heaps Gay vault of creative oddities including exclusive interviews with queer artists and design work spanning 10 years of parties across Sydney.

READINGS
6.30–7.30pm Teenage Dream – local creatives sharing diary stories and drawings from their younger years, hosted by Ange Lavoipierre
PERFORMANCE
7.45–8.30pm SYDNY KINGS – hosted by Marlena Dalí, with performances from local Drag Kings including Audley, Izzy Ashido, Magnus Opium and Manish Interest
DRAWING CLUB
5–9pm Live your best life drawing — hosted by artist Annette Innis
MUSIC
5–9pm DJs from the Heaps Gay family including Aunty Jonny, Jacqui Cunningham, Kato and Mowgli May. Hosted by Sharon Manhattan, featuring performance by Basjia.
INSTALLATION
5–9pm Display by artist, illustrator and maker Jeff McCann

5–9pm Heaps Reel – films from the Heaps Gay archive
VISUALS
