The Pride: Jin Wu Koon

Enjoy the colour and spectacle of Chinese lion and dragon dance in a major new performance created with Jin Wu Koon to celebrate the opening of Powerhouse Parramatta.

A bespoke collection of Chinese lion and dragon dance costumes have been commissioned by the Powerhouse including 3 traditional Fut San lions, 2 modern lions, plus a colossal dragon and lion. Each costume reflects a connection to ancient traditions and the evolution of cultures in contemporary Australia. Following these performances, the costumes will be acquired into the Powerhouse Collection (opens in new tab).

This event is free with an opening weekend general admission ticket. The allocation of free general admission tickets has been exhausted – but you can still guarantee entry by booking a ticket to Task Eternal or another Opening Festival program.
