Unlocking Sustainable Collection Practices

Museum of the Riverina

Join Powerhouse Museum Registrars Bronwyn McKenzie and Yasmin Green in a workshop that explores sustainable collection management.

Participants will learn about procedures and strategies for dealing with uncollected loans and unidentified objects, how defining a museum's collection policy can mitigate the risk of unwanted donated objects and how to improve efficiencies in acquiring objects. The final session of the program will provide an opportunity to workshop unclaimed loans or unidentified objects from your museum’s legacy collection alongside peers.

This workshop is designed for staff and volunteers working across museums and the collecting sector.
