Sydney Observatory Late: Sky Connections
Join a night of stargazing, music and talks presented under the stars at Sydney Observatory. Hear about how we record weather data, something which has been taking place at Sydney Observatory since 1858, alongside telescope viewings guided by astronomers looking for stars, constellations and beyond.
Powerhouse curator Sarah Reeves will join ABC meteorologist Nate Byrne for a conversation on climate change and how it continues to affect the weather we experience.
This will be followed by Quart-Ed String Quartet presenting a dynamic and interactive cosmos-themed program of new music: Nebulae by Diego Idarraga Duarte, A.L.A.N by Karen Cortez and Connor Malanos, and Blackhole by Keyna Wilkins.
Gamilaraay astrophysicist Karlie Noon joins Nate Byrne for a second in-conversation discussing the connection between astronomy, cultural heritage and the weather.
