Fibro Majestic is an exhibition exploring post-war housing, design and the evolution of the Australian Dream.

Centred around Catherine O’Donnell’s 2022 sculpture of 4 fibro facades, the exhibition highlights objects commonly found in Australian houses and backyards in the 1960s that shaped our ideals of home and suburban life.

The sculpture is a 75-percent scale representation of front facade of pastel yellow fibro house with the number '85', though without the silhouette of the roofs. The panels contain no asbestos. Rectangular volumes that make up the sculpture are off-set, from each direction creating the effect of an L-shaped fibro house with a single-posted porch and a projecting front room. — 1/4
